Stanice MarkhamFounder & Board Chair

“When I first heard about the 100 Women movement in March of 2014 I knew it was the perfect opportunity to give back to my community. I returned to Edmonton and began researching what 100 groups I could participate in and was shocked to discover it had not yet been implemented in our capital yet. Enlisting the help of some amazing ladies helped make 100 Women Who Care (later to become The 100 YEG) Edmonton a reality. It is so heartwarming to see how quickly the movement has spread and we already have two more groups following suit in our city. It just goes to show you can never have too much of a good thing.”

Ingrid Schifer, Co-Founder, Marketing & Communications Director

Always ready to jump in and help out friends, Ingrid Schifer was the first member recruited to The 100 YEG (formerly known as 100 Women Who Care Edmonton) by Stanice Markham and soon grew into the title of Co-Founder as helping plan the inaugural meeting turned into helping plan over 25 meetings over the course of almost a decade. Helping steer the organization’s marketing, sponsor and member recruitment, in addition to MCing almost every event since inception, keeps Ingrid involved and fulfilled. Ingrid also owns and runs a marketing company called Schif And The City, which has been helping businesses and charities market themselves since 2010.  Outside of work, she can be found running with her dog, fishing with her boyfriend or spending time connecting with family.

Sunshine Pawchuk, Membership Director

Personal Mission Statement: I want to enjoy every minute of life possible and I want to leave this world better then I found it, for the love and enjoyment of those who will inherit it.

The 100 YEG fills my heart that we get to touch many charities and many people. It also aligns with my philosophy of not only being a global citizen and helping those around the world but also looking locally and helping the community you are in.

I grew up with my family sponsoring a child every year from different countries. We enjoyed reading and writing letters with our sponsor as well as knowing that we were making a difference in their lives. My mother always instilled in me that we should help raise each other up and share our talents with those who may need them.

Charites that I have supported: The 100 YEG, 100 Women Who Care, IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s, Boys and Girls Club of Canada, St. Jude, LVPPA, Giving Adventures, Boy Scouts of America, The Crossing Community Church, Sherwood Park Alliance Church, Alturas HOA Board, Las Vegas Rotary, Boy Scouts of America, Get Outdoors Nevada
